Franck Muller is Swiss watchmaker who is referred to as the “Master of Complications.” He is known for creating complex and innovative timepieces. His watches synthesize modern and conventional Swiss styles of manufacturing.
Franck Muller Watch Collections
The first collection of Franck Muller watches was created in 1984 when he designed the Tourbillion wristwatch. The Tourbillion is a mechanism which was originally used in pocket watches to negate the effect of gravity. This problem was resolved by placing the escapement within a rotating frame.
Another signature collection of Franck Muller is the Curvex Tonneau which is readily recognizable on any wrist.
Apart from the Tourbillion and the Curvex Tonneau, collection of watches from Frank Muller include: Long Island, Casablanca, chronograph, Color Dreams, and the Conquistador Cortez King.
World Premiers
Franck Muller’s “World Premiers” are an innovative line of watches that are released annually. Each of these timepieces possesses a feature that existed never before in any watch.
Notable Timepieces
Revolution 2 Tourbillion is the first watch to have a Tourbillion which revolves on a vertical as well as a horizontal axis. The carriage rotates once every minute and certain piece even display the seconds.
Revolution 3 Tourbillion has a minute repeater which indicates the time through musical tones.
Long Island Crazy Hours is an extremely unique collection in which the hours are not arranged chronologically. The hour hand does not move regularly but rather jumps from one to the other in order to indicate the time.
The Color Dreams model belongs to the Curvex collection. The numbers comprise of different colors so that each timepiece stands apart from the other.
Chronograph Endurance is a timepiece from the Chronograph collection which indicates time by the 24 hour mode.
